Kelowna United Football Club

1st Annual KU Coaches Game Fundraiser

November 21st, 2012

We are coming up to the season where those that are less fortunate than us really feel the effects.  The Kelowna United Club would like to help them, so we would like to introduce the 1st Annual KU Coaches Game on the 15th of December at CNC Indoor 12:30 to 2:30pm.

The game is open to all coaches and assistants and I would hope that everyone will come out to play no matter what their perceived skill level.   We will pick two teams by drawing names from a hat and have a bit of fun playing.  The only catch is that in order to play in the game, a donation of a Non Perishable Food Item or cash is required to step on the pitch.

As a way to involve all our teams and players we have put forward the following challenge,  let’s see which team can raise the most money to contribute to the overall donation to the charity!!

  • For incentive  the team that raises the most money — will receive 2  private sessions  as a team with coaches of their choice during the week of our international soccer camp which this year will be in July
  • We will have one team from each gender for the sessions with the  international staff

As this is the first year for this fundraiser, let’s set the bar really high for the following years!!!!

All food items and money raised will be donated to a charity in town that the club will decide on.

After the game, we can all go next door to Boomers and embellish the description on the goals scored during the game!!

So, be sure to mark  SATURDAY DEC 15th 12:30 to 2:30pm on your calendars and come out to watch and cheer on your coaches.
