Kelowna United Football Club
Coach Pathway

Kelowna United Football Club provides ongoing an development and mentorship program for coaches over the course of the year. Our Technical Director and Staff Coaches are certified facilitators for the BC Soccer Coach Certification Courses and courses are scheduled throughout the year. As part of our commitment to leadership in the area of coaching development, Kelowna United Football Club Technical Staff facilitate the vast majority of BC Soccer Coach Certification Courses in the Central Okanagan Youth Soccer Association district including the Active Start, Fundamental, Learn to Train and Soccer for Life courses.

Kelowna United FC coaches are also provided with mentorship and guidance from our Technical Director and Staff Coaches through monthly coaching education sessions as well as coaching support and evaluation throughout the year. The coaching education sessions are designed to support coaches in a practical way to plan and run effective training sessions for their teams.

Kelowna United Football Club strongly believes that coach education, certification and support is essential for player development. Coaches that are certified and supported with continuing education directly impact the training environment on a day to day basis. A training environment that is constantly improving translates to consistent and ongoing player development. Kelowna United FC is constantly working towards ensuring all coaches within the club meet the required level of certification and are supported to continue their coaching education on an ongoing basis. Kelowna United FC also supports the ongoing education of all coaches within the COYSA district and provides coaching education and support to several of the Grassroots Club Coaches within the district.
